Like audio files, your other option to import MIDI files is to simply select the file in finder and press Command C on it to Copy it. If you choose this option the project tempo will be changed to the tempo of the MIDI file with in the time range that the MIDI file is in the project. You’ll then be prompted if you would like to import the tempo data embedded in the MIDI file.
